WIU RockyTHON has directly supported two children’s hospitals in the greater St. Louis Area for the past thirteen years! The two hospitals that we represent are St. Louis Children’s Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
St. Louis Children’s Hospital
For more than a century, St. Louis Children’s Hospital has been dedicated to providing specialized care for children across the Midwest. Founded in 1879, the hospital was established with the mission of improving the health and well-being of children through compassionate care, innovative research, and advanced medical treatment. Today, St. Louis Children’s Hospital serves thousands of patients each year, offering world-class pediatric care and life-saving treatments to children and families from Missouri, Illinois, and beyond!
SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital
Founded in 1956, Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital has grown into one of the premier pediatric hospitals in the region. Located in St. Louis, the hospital now serves thousands of patients every year from across Missouri, Illinois, and neighboring states. The hospital offers highly specialized care in areas such as pediatric cardiology, neonatology, surgery, oncology, neurology, and critical care. Its renowned fetal care center and pediatric heart center provide advanced treatments for some of the most complex medical conditions, treating patients even before they are born in some instances. In addition to medical treatment, the hospital also offers support programs for families, including counseling, child life services, and resources designed to help children feel safe and supported during their hospital stay.
