Using a unique profile picutre helps show your donors that you are the one they are supporting! It also is a great way to visually showcase your “Why?”.
Step 2: Update your Bio
Your bio is the perfect place to stand out to your donors! It allows you to share your personal connection to the organization. In your bio you can include a multitude of things to best portray your message to your donors!
Here is a sample to help start your bio!
Hello Everyone!
My name is ______. I am a _____ year and I am studying ______ . This is my ____ year being involved with Western Illinois RockyTHON! RockyTHON directly supports the hospitals of the Greater St. Louis area, which includes St. Louis Children’s Hospital and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital.
* Your Why *
I will continue to dance to support these kids because they deserve the same opportunity to have a normal childhood as any other kid. Every kid should have the opportunity to celebrate every birthday, make friends, and live a normal life. With your help, every kid can have a fighting chance to have a normal childhood.
Step 3: Setting Milestones
Whether your goal is $100 or $10,000, milestones help break up your larger goal into smaller goals that encourages your community to support more consistently! Breaking up your larger goal in to smaller subgoals makes your donors donations feel more important rather than just another drop in the bucket. You can separate these as milestones that you will perform for your donors, or how that monetary amount will affect the lives of the kids within the hospitals.
Here is an example list of how you can use milestones to hit a $100 goal:
$25: Help fund books, toys, and games for kids to enjoy
$50: Half way to my goal
$72: 72 kids enter a Children’s Miracle Network Hosptial every minute
$100: Provide a wagon to help transport patients around the hosptial comfortably
Step 4: Setting Incentives
Incentives are a perfect way to encourage people to donate to you! Whether you are a really good artist, musician, or want to do something silly for some dollar amount, this is a great way to incentivize people to donate to you! This is a from you to them for their donation.
Bake Cookies for your donor
Do a special social media shout out
Get pied in the face by that donor
Dye your hair
Post an embarrasing photo of yourself
Run / do a physical activity related to the donation amount
The options are endless, and its a great way for you to celebrate your donors generosity!
